READING The KDC library promotes literacy and reading skills to last a lifetime: Keilor Downs College leads the Western Metropolitan Secondary Schools with the highest number of students completing the Premier’s Reading Challenge (2006-2008).
Reading Collections include: extend the mind and satisfy the most avid reader.
Library Hours The library is open from 8.25am -4.15pm Monday –Thursday; & Friday: 8.25 am – 3.30pm Before School, Recess, Lunchtime and After School book club, computers, passive games and chess club. study periods and during extra curriculum hours.
Our Staff As well as offering a high level of ongoing support to students with research tasks, locating reading resources and using library computers and equipment, our teacher librarians offer expertise in teaching areas including English Literature, English, IT, Multimedia, Science and Art.
A Community Facility The KDC library is a central learning facility which supports College community forums including hosting authors, speakers, VCE study lectures, careers forums, and art shows.
